Centenary Quay, Southampton
Steve Geliot and Frances Lord were appointed in February 2011 to write a public art strategy for the former Vosper Thorneycroft shipyard site on the water edge in Woolston, Southampton by developer Crest Nicholson and SEEDA. This site will provide residential, retail and marine employment with many opportunities to commission artists. The aim of the strategy will be to reveal the character of the area and add to the public’s understanding and appreciation of the rich history and special nature of the site.
